I am looking for a birth record. James Compton and Jane Gee were married in Mottram In Longdendale, Chester, 10 N0v 1833. There are no parents or birth location on the marriage document. Census after the marriage have them both born in Wigan (1851 census) and in 1861, James was born in Haskin in Lancashire. I come up with birth records for James in 3 May 1812 Bolton-le-Moors, Lancashire and 28 Dec 1811 Deane, St Mary, Lancashire. Not knowing the area, which seems like it would be the best option for his birth document? Thank you for your help!! Good news from The General Register Office (GRO): "PDF Extended Pilot "GRO has been piloting a service providing PDF copies of historical birth and death records. The pilot, originally extended to July 2018, has now been extended further to continue to assess longer term demand and there is no planned end date at this time. Further communications will be provided in due course. "Applications for PDF’s cost £6, must be made online and include a GRO index reference. England and Wales records available in this extended pilot include: "Births: 1837 –1917 "Deaths: 1837 –1957" To learn more about the PDF Pilot, see <https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/PDF_most_customers_want_to_know.asp> or <https://tinyurl.com/o9uuszg>

This is a follow up to a thread that had lots of people helping to me: I have two bits of info that relate to the info just shared. There was a family bible with a note in it, not data inscribed in the bible itself. It states that Miles Almond was born 1800 and died 1841. The family lived on Little Meadow(s) farm in Entwistle. There is a record concerning Samuel Almond: Baptism: 22 Nov 1819 Independent, Edgeworth, Lancashire, England Samuel Almond - Son of Miles Almond & Sarah Born: 2 Oct 1819 Abode: Entwistle Hale Register: Baptisms 1807 - 1837, Page 15 Source: LDS Film 560880 From the parish register. Reviewing this information, I believe that Miles Almond that I find in New Jersey is a son of one of these. He, along with other Almonds in the bible note, is in the New Jersey 1828, and subsequent, census reports. I am guessing that there is a typo above and the Abode was Entwistle Hall. Thanks to all on this list that have helped me in the past.
