E. and Miss Eugenie Walette, which took place at the home of the bride's uncle, Mr. C. L. Campbell on Tuesday, Dec 31, 1918. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Childers, life time residents of this parish, and he is a successful young planter. The bride, likewise, is a daughter of one of the old Natchitoches families. Her parents are Mr. and Mrs. John Wallette. This wedding came as a surprise to many, as the young folks had kept their plans to themselves----but evidently decided to begin the new year in a double harness. The TIMES extends the young couple its best wishes for a long happy and prosperous life.
