Mr. JT Sandlin is repainting and repairing his residence and Mr WD Hagewood, of Bunkie, is preparing to build a nice cottage near RT Enloe's residence. There will be several other houses built during the year. There were quite a number of visitors in town during the Christmas holidays. Among them were Rev. JA Miller and sister of Patterson; WO Averette and wife of Winnfield; Earl and Rufus Averette, of Big Sandy, Texas and Mrs RL Stewart, of Vernon, Texas. Miss Maud Husband is visiting her mother this week. WP Phillips and Ira O'Quin, after spending the holidays with friends and relatives, have returned to their work. Miss Kate Averette is visiting her sister Mrs WA Stamper this week. CJ O'Quinn and family spend Sunday at Derry. The East Natchitoches string band serenaded Saturday night. The music was a sweet and enjoyed by all. There are two things our citizens should do. First, help vote the railroad tax. Second, do every thing possible to elect our neighbor for district judge.
