The following is a transcript of the marriage certifcate of my earliest VAUGHN/VAUGHAN ancestor to date STATE OF LOUISIANA, PARISH OF NATCHITOCHES Be it remembered that on this day 22nd Sept. 1866. Personally appeared before me Justice of the Peace in and for said Parish. Robert VAUGHN and Amelia LONDON who having produced the license required by law and no just impediment being suggested were with consent and in the prescence of the undersigned witnesses by me joined in wedlock and pronounced husband and wife . In testimony whereof the said contracting parties and said witnesses being unable to write have affixed their ordinary marks with my signature this day and date above named Puckettes Plantation in the Parish aforesaid.
