East Natchitoches Notes Source: Natchitoches Times Dec 3, 1909 Submitted By: Kay Thompson - Brown Quite unique entertainment was given last Friday evening at the residence of RT Enloe at which a large crowd was entertained at "Aunt Dina's Quilting Party." each person had an individual quilt to piece for 30 minutes or more and the gay colors and arrangement made a pretty collection of miniature quilts. Prizes were won for the girls by Miss Nettie Bird and for the boys by Mr. Harry Kranson. It was a close contest between the girls, but for the boys the booby was certainly won by Mr. Edward Metoyer. Following this was a neatly arranged play entitled "The Rival Brothers," illustrated in tableaux and many compliments were passed on the handsome "solider brother" who surrendered so nobly to his younger brother who was a jealous suitor of the girl they both loved. Refreshments were immediately served after the tableaux which gave us an hour or more to enjoy the music and swing our best fellow in the merry old games we used to play at school. Her's to the merry crowd who are always young. Just give us a chance for this holiday fun. "Youngster."
