Hello, Whenever I post to the list, it's about cemeteries, isn't it? I can't help but be excited whenever I have another one to put up at the Natch. site. This time Nelda Lilies submitted the Stacy Cemetery. It is located between Provencal and Robeline, in the area of the former community of Victoria, LA. (I was fortunate to find some more of my relatives buried in this cemetery.) There's also some interesting information about sawmill towns and how the only thing left of some of those old towns are the cemeteries. The Stacy Cemetery is located on private property and inaccessible to the public. So, you can see how important it is to "read" these cemeteries, because otherwise this information is lost to us who don't know where they are or when they're inaccessible. If anyone on the mail list has a soft spot for a certain cemetery and have definite plans to "read" it, let me know and I'll post your name on the cemetery page next to that cemetery so we won't be duplicating the work. I have to confess that I've never "read" a cemetery myself but there are a few on the mail list who have and we would welcome your comments on how to go about "reading a cemetery".
