Hello, I am Theresa C. Garza (Freeman,Barbo,Davis). I now reside in Texas but I was born in Natchitoches, La. I was adopted at birth and do not know my birth parents. I have begun a search of the records but have not found much so far. In case some do not know, there is a group forming.... .........a new organization the name of which will be The Adaesanos Foundation. It is named for the original inhabitants at Los Adaes but anyone who has a historical interest in or genealogical connection to Los Adaes or descendants of Spanish families in the Louisiana-Texas Borderlands can be a member. I subscribed to the 'D' digest form of the list and received a short email from the list on Tuesday, Date: Tue, 17 Mar 1998 09:33:01 -0800 (PST). It appeared as thought there should have been more to the mail..it listed 5 'items' and the subscribe unsubscribe directions, but nothing else. I am unsure as to whether this was intentional or if my ISP cannot handle list forums. As this list is new these quirks are to be expected.
