    3. Submitted by Danille Weaver Faccone W. C. PERCY Natchitoches Times August 21, 1914 Mrs. W. C. Percy and her many friends were shocked to learn of Mr. Percy's death. News of which reached here by cablegram on Tuesday from Central America, where Mr. Percy had been traveling for years. None of the details of his death were learned and the news was a great surprise as he enjoyed usually good health and was alright when last heard from. The State has the following to say: Announcement of the death in Guatemala City of W. C. Percy former State Senator from West Feliciana, a one time District Attorney. was received here Tuesday night. Mr. Percy was traveling in the Latin American country. He was in excellent health when last seen at home and relatives are unable to account at the time for his sudden death. Mr. Percy is survived by a brother, Edward Percy who lives in West Feliciana and by a widow and one daughter in Natchitoches. News of the death was communicated to them Tuesday W. C. Percy served one term in the Senate succeeding R. E. Erwin of Clinton. Prior to that he was district attorney of West Feliciana and prominent in the practice of law. After his legislative service, Mr. Percy moved to Webster Parish establishing himself in Minden where he practiced law for some time. He was several years ago elected President of the Louisiana Homestead League and served with distinction. During recent years Mr. Percy took to the road and has specialized on South American trade. He was 47 years old. The daughter by a former marriage in not here. MRS. ALLISON "ALMA" PARKER DAVIS Natchitoches Time Sept 11, 1914 Died on Monday August 31, 1914 The death Angel knocked at the door of Mr. Charlie Davis, Bowlen Louisiana, carrying away his lovely wife formerly Miss Allison Parker. Mrs. Alma was taken sick at Hanna Louisiana and taken to her father's home but never recovered. She became a Christian early in life and has been a member of the Baptist Church for several years. She heard the sweet message "Come Home" and has gone. She was 15 years old and had only been married 5 months. She leaves a husband, mother, father, three brothers and one sister beside a large circle of other relatives and friends to morn the loss. She was ready and wanted to die and told us all goodbye and to meet her in heaven. A Friend MRS J. C. MONROE Natchitoches Times Oct 2, 1914 Dead Died at the Schumperts Sanatarium, Shreveport at 12:30 o'clock, Sept 28, 1914, Mrs. J. C. Monroe. The remains were brought here and laid to rest in the American Cemetery on Tuesday morning. A large concourse of sorrowing friends attending. The deceased is survived by her husband, three children and many other relatives to whom the times extend great sympathy.
