Campti Notes Source: Natchitoches Times Submitted By: Kay Thompson Brown Oct 14, 1910 Mrs. G.E. Prothro entertained the Ladies Aid Society of the Baptist Church on Wednesday afternoon. Dr. Felix Gandin Supreme President of the Catholic Knights of America gave an illustrated lecture on "The Founder of the Catholic Church and His Followers" Saturday night. It was a most interesting lecture and enjoyed by a large audience. At the Convent Hail after high mass Sunday he addressed the local Knights. Dr. Gandin spent Saturday and Sunday here. He was the guest at the home of Mrs. Gabriel Prudhomme. Reverend Father Dorral spent the first of the week at Alexandria, as the guest of Reverend Father Menard. Sister Blondina of St. Mary's Convent of Natchitoches spent Thursday evening at St. Cecilia's Convent. Mr. Joe Henry of Natchitoches spent Saturday here. Mrs. William McKnight and pretty little twins are visiting relatives at Natchitoches. Mrs. Sellers returned from Great Bend, Kansas on Sunday to join her husband here. She was accompanied by her sister, Mrs.. C Winstead. Messr. F.R. Lattier of Clear Lake, W.M. Dowden of Lotus, R.M. Parish of Marthaville and J.M. Meadows of Provencal were here on Tuesday looking after Farmers' Union warehouse business. Deputy Sheriff Jas. J. Johnson is recovering from a severe attack of malaria. Members of the congregation have received word that Reverend A Finon of Slidell, La will reach here Saturday and occupy the Baptist pulpit for two or three days.
