Guy Murphrey, pastor of Ashland Baptist Church, died Friday, Jan 1, in a Shreveport hospital after a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Mount Olive Baptist Church with the Rev. Weldon Sistrunk and the Rev. Billy Burkett officiating. Burial was in the Church cemetery.
