    3. I am in hopes that someone might can help me out with some information about Clear Lake Cemetery and St. Peter's Chapel. My husband's great grandfather E. C. Thompson is buried there and I need to find out where the death records for that cemetery would be. I wrote to the Diocese in Alexandria and they said there was a portion of the records they did not have and that the church in Natchitoches should have them......well I wrote to Natchitoches and the reply came back that they didn't have them. I will be in Natchitoches next week and am going back up to the cemetery and get it copied so Glenda and I can post it on the Natchitoches Parish Page and the Archives............but I really need to find out some history and information on the Chapel and the cemetery. Also........when I get that far up on the lake and in the woods I am unsure just where the Parish line is. So the other question is...........is it in Natchitoches or Winn Parish? 3. Gaytha, My great-grandmother was Rosannah Sophia Rinkel (Wrinkle) b. 12-17-1823 d. 6-29-1913. She was married to James Beasley. The information I have shows that Charity was a sister of Rosannah's, but I have that the father was Abraham Wrinkle. I'm sooooooo confused. I'm sure it's all the same family, but possibly I have cousins listed as sisters. Abraham was married to Nancy Sarah Madden. Does this hook up with anything that you have? Thanks for your hardwork on this project. You, your daughter, and Glenda are to applauded!! Carolyn Dodd Cade

Carolyn Dodd Cade Carolyn, I'm sorry..........I didn't mean to confuse you......but in this copy that I have..... it shows John Wrinkle & Sarah Wrinkle as the parents and Charity and Nancy Wrinkle as the children. Charity married John Bludworth and Nancy married 1st John Vashery and 2nd to Absalom Hyer. Now in this document is says that Abraham Wrinkle, Davie Wrinkle and Daniel Brown made the valuation of the property. I have not researched the Wrinkle line as I was only interested in the Bludworth part of the line. I will get this typed up tomarrow and upload it to the archives so you can print a copy from there. I should have it done by tomarrow night. I can only speak for myself and my daughter and I am sure Glenda feels the same way............what we do is a labor of love............... Rachel Grace HGRACE5366@aol.com Grace, Did you know that there was a book written on the Bludworth Family from Natchitoches Parish? My great grandfather was James L. Bloodsworth (note the spelling) but from the southern part of Vernon Parish. I had thought at one time that he might have been realted to the Bludworth's from Natchitoches Parish, but mine came from Georgia to La. Anyway that is how I found the book. Erbon Wise's wife wrote it as this was her family line. If you don't have it I can give you the address to order one if you are interested. I have a copy of the agreement between Charity Bludworth and her mother Sarah Wrinkle pertaining to the estate of John Wrinkle, Charity's father. I got a copy of it and several more Bludworth files in my search to try to tie my James Bloodsworth into this line. I will be getting it typed up and posted to the Natchitoches Archives along with the other information I have on that family. 2. Glenda Myers
    3. Hello friends and cousins from Natchitoches Parish: My name is Glenda Myers and I am the coordinator for Natchitoches Parish LaGenWeb Project. I am acquainted with most of you from getting your requests to be added to the surname page or your queries. A few of you are cousins who've contacted me because we share common ancestors and we found each other through the queries or surname page. This mailing list should be a help to all of us as we research in Natchitoches. I appreciate very much the efforts of our listowners, Gaytha Thompson and Kay Thompson-Brown. Gaytha said there were 38 of us yesterday (the first day!) and the list will grow larger as time goes by. Did you notice that we added two new cemetery listings to the "cemetery page" last week. They are Robeline Cemetery and Shiloh Cemetery and they were submitted by Nelda Liles. http://www.rootsweb.com/~lanatchi/cemetery.htm Nelda's working on the Provencal Cemetery, Harmony, and the Old Bethel Cemeteries and we'll let you know when they're ready for you to check out. 2. Hello, I am Theresa C. Garza (Freeman,Barbo,Davis). I now reside in Texas but I was born in Natchitoches, La. I was adopted at birth and do not know my birth parents. I have begun a search of the records but have not found much so far. In case some do not know, there is a group forming.... .........a new organization the name of which will be The Adaesanos Foundation. It is named for the original inhabitants at Los Adaes but anyone who has a historical interest in or genealogical connection to Los Adaes or descendants of Spanish families in the Louisiana-Texas Borderlands can be a member. The first organizational meeting will be held here at the Cammie Henry Research Center, Third Floor, Watson Library, NSU, on March 28, at 2:00 PM. Contact for info.....NSFRE7236@ALPHA.NSULA.EDU Regarding the LANATCHI email.... I subscribed to the 'D' digest form of the list and received a short email from the list on Tuesday, Date: Tue, 17 Mar 1998 09:33:01 -0800 (PST). It appeared as thought there should have been more to the mail..it listed 5 'items' and the subscribe unsubscribe directions, but nothing else. I am unsure as to whether this was intentional or if my ISP cannot handle list forums. As this list is new these quirks are to be expected.
