Hi Does anyone have John Stevenson and his wife Christian Ormiston of Cambuslang, Lanarkshire in their Family Tree please. I have their marraige in 1826 and the baptisms of their children, but would like some meat on the bones. Deaths and maraiges of other children. I do have the marraige of their daughter Isabel or Isabella as we know her who was born 1830 and married John McArthur on the 2 December 1856, prior to their coming to Tasmania as Bounty Immigrants aboard the "Broomielaw" on her maiden voyage leaving the Clyde on the 15th December 1856 and arriving in Launceston, Tasmania 31st march 1857. I know nothing of John McArthur from the Scottish end, but plenty from the Tasmanian side.. Both John and Isabella were residing at Cathcart, Renfrew at the time of their marriage. I do know that Johns parents were Duncan McArthur and Margaret Smith and he was 28 at the time of marraige at Cambuslang but have never found his baptism. or the marraige of his parents. thanks for any help Edie McArthur Tasmania.
