I am searching for information on a James Duncan born Mar 1689/1690 at or in Gleagum, Lanarkshire, Scotland. What is Gleagum? Is this a place? A parish? A Township? A castle? A poor house? I have searched through a number of the old maps of Scotland between 1628 and 1794 for this place and could not even find something with a similar spelling. This James Duncan immigrated to the Pennsylvania Colony in 1722/23 (based on birth of a child in 1725 in Chester County, PA). He is buried in a cemetery in Lancaster County, PA. He had three brothers (Andrew, Stephen, John) living with and/or near him in PA, that could have immigrated to the colonies with him or followed him to the colonies at a later date. Any information about this family will be most helpful with solving a 25 year brick wall. Thanks Don
