Hi Folks thanks for the replies, Francis Kemp and Janet (Jessie) Duncan Married 1843, they had 2 children that I know of Ann and John Ann being the older of the 2. On Ann's marriage cert her correct mother and father are down but on Johns marriage in 1875 the father is down as a John MacDonald who is down as deceased. John Kemp was born in 1854 but francis Kemp did not die until 1858. Even if his mother took up with John MacDonald but never married would it not show her on John Kemp's marriage cert as a widow and also if John Kemp's father was Francis Kemp why would it show John MacDonald (who was also deceased) as the father and not Francis Kemp.
