Hi Irene Thank you very much for that information that was very kind of you. Well I have to say you have just possible answered a major head ache I have had trying to understand why this John Kemp had his father down as being a John McDonald while his mother is down as Jessie Kemp. I noticed on the information you sent me that Jessie Kemp was down as unmarried even tho there were 3 persons down as her sons and daughter. Notice that the daughter is down as surname Wright the son John is down as a McDonald. Could these 2 possibly be foster or adopted children as she seems to have given one her surname,, but why give one her surname and not all 3. It also seems that the son John has taken the name Kemp as I have his death cert and there is no father down on it only the mother. I have went down the wrong Jessie Kemp who was married to Francis Kemp but its starting to come together now since you noticed a Jessie Kemp with a John McDonald as a son,, I had been looking for a Jessie with a John as a son but as a Kemp. Have you any ideas what might have happened here? If she had had children out of wedlock why would she not give them all the name Kemp or could she have been a single female adopting children,, do you know of anywhere that would hold records of this?
