Is there a place to find MIs for the Lanark Parish cemeteries? If there are no recorded MIs, where could lair information be obtained? I have a Hugh LOGAN who died 22 Nov 1903 who was most likely buried there. Although he died in Glasgow, his family was from Lanark going back several generations and he was listed as a resident there on both the 1891 and 1901 census records. I am trying to find his grave as he is a United States Medal of Honor recipient whose grave has never been located. Our Medal of Honor is the highest possible military medal, awarded for courage above and beyond your duty. Hugh LOGAN was awarded his for actions in 1862 during the USA Civil War while a member of our naval forces. If anyone can make a connection to Hugh, he was the son of Hugh LOGAN & Janet Logan m.s. EASTON both of Lanark. He was born about 1834. He was a seaman in the Merchant Service for most of his life. Due to disability attributed to his USA naval service, he was awarded a pension from the US government. Jo-Ann
