    3. Hi Susan Thanks for your help. I have looked for markings, but can find none. It think that if I take it to a jewellers, they may be able to date it for me. It has a hinge and a push-in clasp on it - but it may be older than I think. Thanks for your help. Could it be an engagement or a present for any other significant reason given the date on it? Are there any other family names beginning with N which it could relate to?
