    3. I remember Christine was a very fair, easygoing list administrator who understood there was much more to genealogy than the basic births, marriages and deaths. We need to add these extra facts to our family histories to make them come alive and I'm sure our ancestors look down and are very greatful that we tell our descendants that they were weavers, miners, bootmakers, potters, etc., however they toiled. They need to know how their forebears worked their fingers to the bone, for meager wages to put a roof over their family's head and food on the table. It's sad this phone call wasn't made much sooner, so we could pass on our condolences to her family in a more timely manner. Kind regards Elizabeth

    3. Christine was a very approachable as list administrator, very fair and would not shy away from discussing contentious issues with listers. She operated an Open-Door policy where any lister who had a concern about the list or its members was welcome to discuss the issue at any time..and those issues were easily resolved. The world, this list and any others Christine was associated with, are all the poorer.with the loss of Christine, and in saying this, let us not forget John Duncan who despite his wonderful selfless contributions to the list, was not given the same tributes. Vale! Christine, Vale!
