I've got the original Proclamation of Banns from 1857, recording my gg grandparents' marriage. When I found the record of the same marriage on SP, I purchased it even though I assumed I wasn't going to learn much more. But there I found the names of the parents of the bride and groom as well as the fact that he was a widower and she was a widow at the time of their marriage. More happy prowling! Jeanne
