    3. Bob - Saw your discussions with Rhonda. Boy, I wish we could tie your Alexander in to my Reids. http://www.gencircles.com/users/rodfleck/2/data/267 Please share the court case you mentioned. In my grandmother's family, she always referenced a court event that somehow connected one side of her family to another. I have never ever been able to sort that recollected childhood memory out. However, I did once come across a case in the late 1800s that may have been connected - but like your Alexander, I lacked that one document that proved a connection. Best of luck on your quest. If you let me know where to send it ,I would like to reimburse you for all you have done for me. I can have a cheque sent to you from my brother in law in Polmont. I will be in Scotland on the 11th of March I have to go to West Register house in Edinburgh to get a copy of a court case , That names all descendants alive at the time of the case in the 1800's. Would you know which office holds New Monkland Poor House Records as I have been informed by the Mitchell that they have just transferred the Cambusnethan records to North Lanarkshire Archives at 10 Kelvin Road ,Cumbernauld, as I have records to find there also. Again I am in your debt Bob

    3. Hello Rod Sorry Rod it is not a Reid case but a Kinnaird vs Redpath. The case is between cousins in Midlothian ,Thomas Kinnaird of Edinburgh and Thomas Kinnaird of Glasgow vs Jacobina Thomson M,S, Kinnaird of East Calder as to who should inherit the Estate of Benjamin Redpath. Thomas Kinnaird of Glasgow was the winner. I found the case in the Scotsman Archives while searching for Jacobina Kinnaird, it was good the I was searching an uncommon name Sorry Bob -------------------------------------------------- From: "Rod Fleck" <rodfleck@olypen.com> Sent: Wednesday, March 03, 2010 9:41 PM To: <lanark@rootsweb.com> Subject: [Lanark] Reids of New Monkland > Bob - > > Saw your discussions with Rhonda.
