    3. Hi I am trying to locate the WEST YETT FARM. On the 1851 census it is listed under the Parish of Carnwath. It is shown between the farms of Westdyke and Westshieto . There is no other identification on the page that might suggest where they are located in the Parish. I cannot find West Yett on any map that I have or on Google. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks Frank Easton Sherwood Park Alberta Canada +6c

    3. Hi, Frank. Not sure if this would help or not but I search for West Yett Farm in google books and got some hits. Website would be www.books.google.com. Maybe you can find something there. Is it possible it is also spelled/listed as Westyett, with no space in between? 3. Hi to All that responded. Thank you very much. Nancy: I also tried Google before I listed however, (not being that familiar with Scotland) I could not find any hit that seemed to be in the same area. Now as far as the name, the only piece of evidence I had on the name was what I took off of the 1951 census which appeared as too different words. Don: Thanks Don, nice to hear from you again. I have pleasant memories of dinner there many years ago. (I do apologize to the rest of the list for that off topic comment). I appreciate your assistance and the map web site. I try to avoid those maps as the same comment as I put to Nancy. I spent about an hour trying to locate it without success because of my not being that familiar with Scottish landscape. But with the assistance that Jim gave I might be able to pin the place down. Jim Thank you very much. I should be able to find it now. A very good description. Again thank you Nancy, Don and Jim. Thank you, and I really do appreciate your responses. Hopefully they will enable me to add some more meat to the bones. Regards Frank
