Bob, This is a cut and paste of an email sent by Des Garrity re Lanarkshire Poor Relief and where all the records have now been distributed............. Jenny Hi Everyone, I have worked on the indexing of the Glasgow and Lanarkshire Poor-relief applications over the years. I just want everyone to know that there has been some changes very recently, and, some historical records have been moved to the appropriate Local Authorities (this includes any surviving Poor-relief applications, School records etc.) The main ones are listed below: Kirkintilloch, New Kilpatrick and Cadder are now with EAST DUNBARTONSHIRE ARCHIVES. Bothwell, Cambusnethan, Dalziel, New Monkland, Old Monkland and Shotts are now with NORTH LANARKSHIRE ARCHIVES. Glasgow City, Govan and Barony remain with Glasgow City Archives as do records pertaining to South Lanarkshire (for the time being) I hope this will be of some assistance to anyone looking for the records in Glasgow.
