Hi Paul I have an Agnes Clydesdale, born approx 1822 in Ireland ( also married in Ireland ) who died on 16th December 1907, age 85, at Eastern District Hospital, Glasgow. Her husband was Arthur Burns who died in 1877 age 41. Agnes' s parents fronm her Death Cert were Alexander Clydesdale and Margaret Allan. I would assume that Alexander or his forebears were Ulster Scots but I have no further information at present. If any of the information tallies please contact me direct.
