    1. [Lanark] Summerlee Heritage Park

    3. Hi I was prompted by Jim Bundy's email with transcriptions about people involved with Shotts Iron Works To mention Summerlee Heritage Park at Coatbridge, Lanarkshire, sometimes called "The world's noisiest museum". The aim of the Museum is to preserve and interpret the history of the local Iron, Steel, Coal and engineering industries and of the communities that depended on them for a living. http://www.monklands.co.uk/summerlee/ Summerlee is set in 22 acres based around the site of the nineteenth century Summerlee Ironworks. There is also a video show to be found at Rampant Scotland website/ http://www.rampantscotland.com/video/video_index.htm Cheers Ella Ross
