Just a note to say that the assistance by the people on the Lanark list was absolutely great. I would say that I have accomplished about 90% of what I wanted. Thanks to Jenny, Hugh and Gay I was able to get the information on the immigration of James Douglas Campbell and a special thanks to Jenny for guiding me through a difficult web site (in my opinion). That is not a knock on Australia for have you ever seen a government Archival web site that is easy? Thanks to Jenelle I think I may be able to tackle the phone. No he was not in the second world war but was an engineer in the 1st. As I go through this exercise it is absolutely mind boggling how many of my fathers cousins (1st 2nd and 3rd) were in the war as was he. The information on those immigration papers is very detailed and certainly adds a lot of meat to the bones. Thank you all. Frank Easton Sherwood Park Alberta Canada +8c
