The IGI has three children of this couple Janet, born 1771, Whitburn John, born 1775, New Monkland Margaret, born 1777, New Monkland. Quite a number of the Badallan family seem to have been baptised in Whitburn. East and West Badallan are both very close to the parish/county boundary. Anne
