Hello Listers, This is a courtesy notification to fellow Lanark researchers of an additional Lanark research facility established two weeks ago. LANARKSHIRE FAMILIES AND HISTORY is a private website but membership is open to all those researching in Lanarkshire. The aim is to offer a web-based facility to complement what we already have with existing Lanark Message Boards and Lists such as our much-loved Lanark-L. Thus, this new site offers different features such as free online storage, back-up and sharing of precious family photos, old village photos, videos, photo stories, maps, BDMs, census and other documents. Members are able to establish Albums for their own particular Lanark families or surnames of interest, and to post Discussions or questions on history, genealogy, folklore, culture, family traditions, and even share favourite recipes, poems etc. If members have Family Trees established at Ancestry, then they can also be imported into the LANARKSHIRE FAMILIES AND HISTORY private website if desired. Once logged in - all members are free to issue invitations to other Lanarkshire family researchers.
