    3. Hi I do think you have a real mystery here. I have done some digging (just as you have) and noticed that he is stated as alive (or not deceased) when his children marry. Options: They separated and therefore she still classified herself as 'married' but how did she manage financially without a man's wage and young children. He was in an asylum He immigrated and she was supposed to go and then decided not to - maybe he sent money home and that is how she managed to buy 10acres of land There is this immigration: David Young Estimated birth year: abt 1816 Age: 41 Arrival Date: 25 Jan 1857 Arrival Port: Melbourne, Australia Departure Port: Plymouth Ship: William Nationality: Irish and Scottish Maybe an Australian lister could help more, Good luck Julie ----- Original Message ----- From: <gemwood@xtra.co.nz> To: <LANARK@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, January 01, 2010 8:45 AM Subject: [Lanark] YOUNG David - born 1817 LKS > David YOUNG b 1817 LKS.
