    3. Thank you Iain for passing on to me, the information that The Army in Glasgow in the early 19th century that > The baptismal records St Andrews on the Green Episcopal Church are held in > the Glasgow City archives at the Mitchell library. They record the > baptisms of the children of a lot of English soldiers. Iemailed the Mitchell with my query 10th January about a baptism for John Campbell born Barony 1807, I was nicely surpised today with a reply from the Mitchell Archivist **We hold the records of St. Andrew's By-The-Green Episcopal Chapel which was responsible for baptising many children of soldiers who were stationed in Glasgow. The early records have been indexed on computer and having searched the database, have found four possible John Campbell's, but only one has a father who is a soldier and ** We also hold other early baptism records that do not appear within the Old Parish Registers and we have compiled a database of these. I have searched the database but there are no John Campbell's baptised within the time period of 1783 and 1820. .. Thank you once again for sharing your knowledge with me.. 3. Dear Gay, I'm glad to be of help. I see you have significant interests in Western Australia. Two of my wife's grandparents, Archibald Miller and Hannah Lawson, emigrated to Western Australia in 1927. They are both buried in Karrakatta cemetery. Archibald died in 1932 (kicked by a horse) and Hannah died in 1968. Kind Regards, Iain
