I would like to find the location of my Great Grandfather's house as listed in the 1901 census. His name was Walter Paterson, and he is listed in the census as living at "Brookesby, New Ed Rd", Uddingston, Bothwell, Lanarkshire. There is no house number given. I am thinking that "New Ed Rd" is an abbreviation for New Edinburgh Rd. Does anyone know where would I find property records (property taxes, deeds, etc.) for this property?
