Hello List I am seeking information on a marriage between Alexander McGregor and Janet? .On Alexander's Marriage certificate to Jane Clive on September 25 th 1909 He gives his parents as Alexander McGregor and Janet Findlay this Marriage show's on Scotland's People with a date of 14 Apr 1854 . I cannot find her on a census, the census shows Alexander McGregor and Janet Hunter whose marriage shows on the IGI as 14 Apr 1854, I know wives can keep their maiden name but why did the son pick Findlay, I have to find these two Ladies I think.
