Can anyone tell me why the "Theatre of War" on my great-uncle's death record was given as "Egypt" when he is buried in the cemetery at Jerusalem? Was "Egypt" simply a blanket term for the conflict in that part of the world? (I would find that far more credible than the idea that they carted bodies a few hundred miles for burial.)
