Hi List, This is the first time I have posted to your list... Don���t know if you will be able to help or not. I am finally getting back to my husband���s side of the family after working on mine for several years and am at a brick wall. My William WEIR married Mary LEWARS 19 Apr 1794 in Lesmahagow. I think William died 13 Aug 1827 and is buried at Linmill. I believe they emigrated to Scarborough, ONT in 1830. In my notes I have written that he was a farmer on Woodyett Farm in the 1821 Census. Now where I got that from, I know not���is there a copy of the 1821 census??? I have nine children for them..all I assume born in Lesmahagow.. 1. Jane b. 1798 2. Elizabeth b. 1801 3. George b. 1803 4. John b. May 1806 5. William B. 1808 6. Mary b. 1811 7. James b. 7 Mar 1814 8. Martha b. 25 June 1816 9. Margaret b. 1825 Jane did not marry. Elizabeth married James TUDHOPE in Scotland and had 3 children; Mary, Elizabeth & Daniel & emigrated also to Scarborough. George married a Suzanna WILSON John married an Elizabeth HADDOW 21 Jan 1832 in Lesmahagow and had 6 children William married Margaret THOMSON in Moffat Scotland and had 2 children Mary married a James PATTON and had 4 children all born in Scarborough I believe James married a Janet MUIR in Scotland ? and had 13 children all born in Scarborough I believe Martha married a James McCOWAN and had 10 children Margaret ��� I have no other information on her. I believe William WEIR���s parents are James WEIR and Jean MARSHALL & he has 2 siblings John & Jane. I believe Mary LEWARS��� parents are John LEWARS & Jean SCOTT & she has 2 siblings Martha & William Any and all help will be appreciated. Margaret In Ontario, Canada
