Hi Margaret Although I cant help you much with these families, Bruce McCowan in Scarborough can probably fill in some of these names. He can be found by Googling his name. I used to have his email but lost it when the computer crashed. His family has been associated with ST. Andrews Pres. Church in Scarborough and the churchyard there has most of the pioneer settlers to Scarborough. I do know McCowans and Muirs were very prominent in early Scarborough history.
