Has anyone had any success in getting records (bmd) referring to Ceylon (Sri Lanka) of the early 1800s-1850s? Not sure where to turn and happy for tips. My hunt refers to Mary Campbell census records have her as 'naturalised British citizen' born about 1834 in Ceylon, daughter of William Campbell (marriage certificate details refer to William as being in Army, no further details known) married Edward Ward (son of William Ward, Gentlemen, Edward was born in Newington, Surrey).
