I have received, ostensibly from a fellow Lister, a scam appeal for money. I will not mention the name of the Lister, because I am sure the message did not actually come from her. This is a warning to all Lanark Listers. Some Hacker has "harvested" e-mail addresses for the List, and also possibly has hacked into this Lister's computer. Be very careful if you receive a near-hysterical appeal for you to send money to rescue this fellow Lister. If the List Admin is interested, I will forward the appeal. Hi Ken, I have suggested to researchers on my Lists that they try not to put their e-mail address in the text area of their message. Anyone can go to the archives of any List and find e-mail addresses that way.
