Hi Listers, First, I was saddened to hear of the passing of June McCarthy. I wish all the best to her family. I wanted to comment on this great Enumerator of ED 51 re Old Monkland in 1851. I've never seen such detail of birthplaces in Ireland before. It didn't occur in every entry, but by far the most of them. So much more helpful than just "Ireland". And, even in Scotland, he often went beyond the mention of county and parish, and included the village as well! If only this guy could have trained all the others. Jim Bundy
