Hi Annie, I checked Ancestry which does not have original images. Their best guess was the same as yours for Peter, Salesman in Dorfroy. For Janet's occupation they have `engaged at home Apne Work'. I have to say that Ancestry consistently has trouble in reading the census writing so it may or may not be correct. Particularly since they list Alexander as `Engine Fittie at works' when it has to be obvious that he is an Engine Fitter! Daniel is a Clerk and Sophia Crichton is a boarder [Saleswoman in a Drapery].
