You can find birth, death, marriage and census info on http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk It is the official government site for viewing/downloading the information. You will get the actual registry pages with all available information for the BMDs. It is a pay to view/download site but has very reasonable costs. All such BMD records in Scotland give the mother's maiden name. As for the location of Low Hill, you will get that from the birth record also.
