Dean We have spoken before in our past Lindsay hunts. Do you know who your John Lindsay's father might be? I think we don't match on the International DNA surname project either if memory serves me. John Lindsay, Father B. 1858, Cambusnethan Agnes [Calder Merrilees], Mother B. 1862, Leith children (Born in Hamilton) Andrew 1880 Robert 1882 Katherine 1885 John 1887 Agnes 1889 Mary Ann 1891 Janet 1893 I have their full census records to 1901. Andrew followed the rest of the larger Lindsay family into coal mining, as did his two eldest sons, John probably did, but like I said, I have no information on him after 1901. John is the 3rd son of Andrew Lindsay, second youngest son of George Lindsay and Janet Gold. For whom we have a large number of descendants, of 11/12 children who appear to have survived, we have marriages for 10 of them, including all the boys 9/12 (8 marriages, one died young) John's eldest brother, George, went to Illinois, USA, where he died in 1929. Of John's siblings - 9 altogether. We have deaths for 4 of them, and a contact on one of the women's lines of that particular family. Dean Scapolo. LINDSAY, LAMBIE, BOYD, HADDOW.
