Judy, Glad you now know it's Deerpark Gardens, later a part of Tollcross Road. Also a picture of it too. I'm thinking the name had a quite short official life span. Perhaps from around 1911 to 1919? But still known locally as Deerpark Gardens as it had the name on the building? I've noticed that quite a few times on older Glasgow tenements. Often painted on, but occasionally carved into the stonework. ---- There are two mentions in this very useful GWSFHS publication. "A Guide to Glasgow Addresses. Part II. 1826-1950" by Susan Miller. Deerpark Gardens, Tollcross. ...renamed Tollcross Rd. [part] - [Robertson St. to Brown St.] Deer Park Gardens, Parkhead. ...renamed Tollcross Rd. 266-350, later 616-700. ---- Some other mentions. Adhead's Street Directory of Greater Glasgow. c.1919? Deerpark Gardens - now Tollcross Rd. ---- V.P. Street Directory of Greater Glasgow. around early 1920s? Deer Park Gardens [now included in Tollcross Rd.] ---- Fraser's Glasgow Guide. Mid 1920s to mid 1930s? Deer Park Gardens, 266 Tollcross Rd. ---- I don't know where Robertson & Brown streets were located. Can't find them in the any of the indexes or maps. Those even numbers could suggest the south side of Tollcross Rd. Opposite Tollcross Park? If they did exist I wonder if they were actually side streets at all. Maybe they, with Deerpark Gardens in between them, were rows of a mainly continuous line of buildings on Tollcross Rd. Possibly constructed and named by different builders? But all this is just guesswork. The Enumerator's description [free header pages] on the 1911 census on ScotlandsPeople may help you narrow down the whereabouts of Deerpark Gardens on the later named Tollcross Rd.
