Hi I was born in the Gallowgate and lived in Shettleston till I was 11. My Aunt lived in a posh house in Tollcross Rd opposite the junction of Mackinfauld Rd. We used to walk through Tollcross Park from Shettleston to visit frequently. The clue was Jack who thought it was Deerpark because there once were deer in Tollcross Park. There was a children's museum in the mansion house which had once belonged to Dunlop rubber. Anyhow here is a link toParkhead History which has photos of a Steam Road Roller parked in Mauckinfauld Road.
