Many Many thanks, Jack I did not know that I could read the enumerators description of the census from Scotland's People. I have done it in the past from the LDS films. I do appreciate your instructions. With thanks Judy Jack P Mills wrote: Judy, Thankfully no, it would probably cost a wee fortune! You just need to look at your Previous Searches. Sign into ScotlandsPeople Click on the "Previous Searches" tab at very top of page Find the required census Click on its "View" box, then Click on the "View(Paid)" box of your selected choice The next page shows the link to download the census image Above this is a grey box with the words "View Free Header" Click on this box This gives the link to download the Header Image ...[this one shows the front cover of the book] At the top of this page is "View Page After (Free)" Click on this box This will give another Header Image page link ...[this is the one that shows the description - click on it for details] It can also be downloaded in the same way as censuses images i.e. Right click on link Select "Save target as..." in the pop-up box Which opens new page for you to rename if you wish and save to wherever you want on your computer. Hope the enumerator's description is useful to you.
