In Glasgow they listed witnesses at the births of some of the children. ELIZABETH PATON ------------------- Jan 6, 1813 - ? Hi I call Australia and Scotland a lot so I got what my server calls a telephone "bundle". It cost me $20.00 Canadian for 1000 minutes per month. Not a bad rate. I think there are some of those around. I gave it up and took a rate of $10.00 for 400 minutes per month as I could never seem to talk for 1000 minutes. Also someone mentioned Skype. That is free and we not use that for Australia. They are on it as well. We both have a cam camera so we see each other. A little getting used to is required but it is ok. Hi Michael, I have PATONS in my line, mostly at Fenwick Ayrshire, right next door to Kilmarnock. My last of that surname was my ggggrandmother Agnes Paton. 1784-1857, born at Kilmaurs, also near Kilmarnock. Agnes was a gggranddaughter of the Covenanter Martyr Captain John Paton. G'day Folks, I am interested in an Elizabeth GOLD who married John CLARKSON at Douglas in 1807. Her birth/bapt details are unknown and going on their children, her parents should be Thomas and Elizabeth. Children were born during 1808-1828 all at Rigside/Newton, Douglas. Would anyone have a record of Elizabeth's actual parents and birth/bapt details. I already have John CLARKSON's family origins. Many thanks, Bill Melbourne, Oz
