I have a book written by Rev. James F. Lambert who was the Pastor of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Catasauqua, PA. The book was written in 1917. Title of the book is: Luther's Hymns. It is the hymns and saying of Martin Luther, founder of the Lutheran church. The words are in English as well as German, with lyric's and music scores. I found the book, in our church, here in Washington State and it was being thrown out and I asked if I could have it and that is how I have it in my possession. I have some Lambert ancestors and that is what caught my eye, even though I could not find any connection. Therefore, I would like to put the book into a descendants hands. Is there any one out there that is a relation to James Lambert? If so, please let me know. DeLories
Attention DeLories: One of my ancestors was a James Lambert. He was born May 1808 in VA, married Jemima Wilson 1839 in Scioto Co., Ohio. He died 1850 in Linn Co., MO. His son Charles Lambert married Mary Cohoon in MO, and later settled in Walla Walla Co., WA. Charles was my great grandfather. My James Lambert's father was Thomas Lambert, b. abt 1755 place unknown. Thomas married Mrs. Dinah Bollinger Harkins in 1801 in Frederick Co., VA. Although I have an ancestor by the name of James Lambert, that is a common name, and mine may not be the right person. I have found no connection to PA. Sincerely, Carol E.
