    1. [LAMBERT] Augustine LAMBERT, born in Sweden
    2. Ben Whiting
    3. Hello Donna: I noticed you list an Augustine LAMBERT as born in Sweden. If you have any questions about conducting genealogical research from North America on Swedish leads, I may be able to answer some of the questions. The best starting place is to obtain a reference book entitled "Cradled in Sweden". It is an excellent reference. If Augustine LAMBERT was born in Sweden, but living in the USA in 1880, there is a good chance that he will appear on the Emigration CD. This was a police record of people leaving Sweden from the various ports. It also gives age, date, ship's name, next destination, a list of the people with whom he was travelling, and his last parish of register in Sweden. The name of the parish is very important for tracing his family farther back in time in that all of the Swedish records are based on parish (församling or socken). While my LAMBERT connections are Irish and English, I do have other branches of my family from Sweden, including AKERLUND/ÅKERLUND, DILLINGBERG, HESSELBERG, LINDQUIST, PALMQUIST, and REIS. Good hunting. Tack så mycket..............
