    2. Peter Wood
    3. Hello Paula. You say that your John & Susan were born in Ireland. Protestant marriages in Ireland are indexed from 1845. There are two Johns listed in the years 1845-1850 namely: 1846. John LAMBERT, reg. Dublin North, vol. 5, p.92. 1849. John LAMBERT, reg. Galway, vol. 6, p.51. (Catholic marriages are not indexed prior to 1864.) If you knew Susan's maiden surname, the index could be checked for a match. As you evidently do not, you may wish to purchase photocopies of the register entries. These can be obtained from The Registrar-General, Joyce House, 8/11 Lombard St., East, Dublin 2. (You need to quote all the details given above.) They are not expensive, the cost, through an agent in this country, being $15. Peter Wood, Hamilton, New Zealand. P.S. I am a 2nd great grandson of John LAMBERT (chr. Co. Galway, Ireland, 25 Sept 1800), and Jane PEYTON (born Co. Leitrim, Ireland). Unless he had a 2nd marriage, the John whose marriage was reg. at Galway in 1849 is not "mine". ----- Original Message ----- From: Paula.Murphy@paxar.com To: LAMBERT-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Thursday, July 27, 2000 8:59 AM Subject: [LAMBERT] John, Susan, Sarah, Margaret Lambert - IRE-> PA 1840's Hello, Cousins! I am new to your list as I just discovered my Lambert line. This is what I know to date. Sarah Agnes Lambert was born September 1, 1850 in Pittsburgh, PA to John and Susan Lambert who were born in Ireland (don't know where).
