hello, I am looking for information on the ancestry of Alice Margaret Lambert Oct 4, 1854 in Estill Springs, Franklin Co, Tn d. Feb 12, 1936 inHouston, TX m. William Mac Sockwell b. c. 1848 in Ga d. aft 1919 inJones Co, MS. I was told by elder members of the family that her parents were a Mr. Lambert who married an unknown Bates or Gates. They would have beenmarried sometime in the mid 1800's. Unfortunately, I don'thave much to go on here, but any help would be greatly appreciated as our family hasbeen looking for her parents for about 40 years without any success.
