    3. Hi Venita, I do not see an immediate connection. However, I find it very interesting that my grandmother's maiden name was RYLANCE (similar to your surname, ROYLANCE). Adeline RYLANCE was born in New Zealand on June 04, 1880, married William Henry LAMBERT (b.April 24, 1884 in Tairua, New Zealand). They married in Auckland and lived in San Francisco. I will keep your message in case a connection comes up. My earliest documented LAMBERT is William LAMBERT, born in 1822 in Ripon. William's father was John LAMBERT, his mother was Margaret ATKINSON. Do you have this couple in your line? My ancestor who immigrated to the US, John LAMBERT (1820, Gargrave) was the son of Richard (1771, Marton in Craven), son of John (1747, ?, Yorkshire), son of Joseph (abt 1725, Craven). Do you see a connection? My best, Venita Provo, Utah, USA See my ancestry at http://sites.netscape.net/venitar ______________________________

    3. Hi Linda, Thanks for your reply. I don't have John LAMBERT/Margaret ATKINSON on my line. Sorry. I was hoping we could find a connection for William. In the LDS Ancestral file there was a mistake where the wife and children of a William LAMBERT were mixed up with the wife and children of a Joseph LAMBERT. Both Joseph and William were born about 1720 in the Craven area. I think I have the children and wives sorted out, and thought maybe John and William were brothers, but I can't find any information to support that. ROYLANCE is my ex's surname. His ancestor, John ROYLANCE, immigrated to the USA in the 1840s (?) from England, not sure which county. No doubt ROYLANCE and RYLANCE come from the same source back there someplace. I'll keep your name, and if something turns up that looks useful to you, I'll let you know. My best, Venita "HAMID, LINDA" wrote: > > Hi Venita, > > I do not see an immediate connection.
