    1. [LAMBERT] Sarah LAMBERT, circa 1852, England or Ireland
    2. Hello: The 1871 British Census shows my great-grandmother, Sarah LAMBERT, living in Welbeck Abbey, Worksop, Nottinghamshire, England. She was a 19 year old housemaid (born circa 1852) and her place of birth is a little obscure on the record, but looks like Hythe, Kent. Other secondary source records (e.g. her son's death certificate) list her as being from Ireland. On Sarah's 1872 marriage certificate to James Edmund WHITING , Sarah's father is listed as Frank LAMBERT, occuaption = "gentleman's servant". There is a Frank LAMBERT on the 1881 British census CD as a possible match, with place of birth "Ireland" and occupation "retired coachman". He may have been originally from Queen's County (now County Laois) in Irelend. Does anyone have any further information on this LAMBERT family? Good Hunting.......
